My name is Lisa Scott-Hayes, the founder and CEO of Love School Counseling Café. I am a wife and mother of two children. My passion for school counseling stems from the belief in my heart that everyone deserves a fair chance at their dreams.
In 1994 I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology and, again, in 2014 I added a Master’s Degree in School Counseling to my academic profile. Since 2018, I've been a member of both the American School Counselor Association (ASCA) and the Delaware School Counselor Association (DSCA).
Being born with Cerebral Palsy, I was told that my appearance and speech would impact my abilities and success in life. Although I have some physical limitations, it has never discouraged my ambition for success. Being blessed with a strong family unit who advocated and encouraged my growth, enabled me to be determined in my educational journey. Anyone who has doubted my abilities has been proven wrong!
Creating Love School Counseling Café in 2021 is proof that labels are not limitations and a chance to highlight that nothing is impossible if you embrace the potential you have within you. My goal is to make sure no students "fall through the cracks" by helping parents and students work together to get the education they deserve. Moreover, I have built a team whose goal and mindset are to cultivate greatness through empowering and inspiring all to reach their fullest potential!
